This is before you read this information, a NORMAL pup not knowing about his or herself or ancestry.

1. A gray wolf's eyes are usually some shade of amber, while other wolf's eyes can be many different shades, mostly consisting of a brown shade.
 
2.A gray wolf's fur is not always gray, it can be mostly gray, but sometimes is different colors of black, red, or a brindle brown.
 
3.A gray wolf has 2 layers of fur, a thick, and a thin.
 
4.A wolf's fur is rarely spotted, I must say I have NEVER seen a spotted wolf. :

6.All canines grew off of wolves, does this relate to their size being greatest? Yes, when wolves were first bred with other canines, they were all smaller, causing size shrinking.
 
7.The largest confirmed weight for a wolf is around 175 lbs!
 
8.Smaller wolves can be found in the middle east.
 
9.The smallest member of hte North American species of Canidae is baleyi, they are smaller then even the tiny arctic wolves.
 
10.An adult male wolf can be around 4.6 to 6 feet long in total lenghth.
 
11.Generally, an adult male wolf is around 20% larger then the female wolf.
 
12.The orbital angel of a wolf's skull is around 40-45 degrees.
 
13.Gray wolves rarely have a tightly curled tail, though this can be found in their close relatives such as the huskey, malamute, or border collie.
 
14.A gray wolf has 42 teeth while humans have only 28.(i'm not really sure on the human part, i'm only a wolf expert!!!I don't even know how many toes i have! Just kidding)
 
15.The largest wolves are found in Canada, Alaska and the former Soviet Union.
 
16.The fourth upper premolors and 1st lower molor are the Carnassial teeth.
They are mainly used for scissoring a wolf's food or meal.
 
17.A wolf's bite packs a wopping 1500 lbs per square inch!
 
18.A gray wolf's face commonly has pointed ears.
 
19. Narrow chest, long legs, and large blocky feet are the travel adaptations for gray wolves, the narrow chest was to decrease wind resistance on long journeys, the long legs were to help water travel, and the large feet were to prevent sinking into the snow.
 
20.A gray wolf has 5 front foot toes and 4 hind foot toes.
 
21. When wolves stand their heals are upright, or digitigrade.
 
22. There is webbing between the toes of gray wolves and most canines.
 
23. The organs used for reproduction are called the jacobson's organs.
 
24. If fallen ill, a wolf will move away too protect the pack if the disease is contagious.
 
25. This is number twenty five since it's a good number!
